Nokia Lumia 1520 launch pushed to October?

While all this time it was believed that Nokia will be launching its first ever phablet, the Lumia 1520 later this month, new information suggests otherwise. EvLeaks, who has already has revealed a lot about the Lumia 1520, says the launch date for the phablet has been pushed to October 22.

Earlier it was rumoured that Nokia will be announcing the 6-inch phablet along with its Windows RT tablet called Sirius by the end of month. Now, some believe that it was never meant to be a September launch as October or November is usually when new flagship Windows Phones are released. However, it is highly speculated that Nokia may still announce the device this month, and it will probably be released next month.

Over the past one month, both upcoming Nokia devices have been making frequent appearances in the form of leaks and rumours. Last week we got a closer look at the phablet. According to previous leaks, the phablet will be getting a 6-inch 1080p display, 32GB of storage, microSD card slot and 2GB of RAM. All of this is said to be powered by a Snapdragon 800 SoC from Qualcomm.

Going by the pictures and given its specs, the phablet will be running the GDR3 update of Windows Phone 8, optimised for 1080p devices. It brings an extra column of live tiles on the Start Screen.
