Nokia claims Google's Nexus 7 infringes on its patents

Google's Nexus 7 is already in trouble for patent infringement. According to the Nokia, the Nexus 7 uses Wi-Fi technology which is covered by Nokia patents.

In a statement to the Inquirer, a Nokia spokesperson, said that

It seems that neither Asus or Google have commented on Nokia's claims. The patent wars are likely to get more complicated with both Google, Microsoft launching their own tablets. Apple recently got an injunction on the sale of Samsung Galaxy Tablets in the US. With every major tech company suing and counter-suing, one shouldn't expect 'they stole our patents' stories to die down any time soon.

The Nexus 7 is has a 7-inch screen, IPS (in-plane switching), with a resolution of 1,280800 pixels. The tablet is also the first 7-incher to house a 1.3GHz Nvidia Tegra 3 quad-core CPU, which includes a 12-core GPU. It also has a Micro-USB port, 1GB of RAM, a 1.2-megapixel front camera (no back camera included).

The tablet costs around $199 and is rumoured to launch in India in September. According to IBN-Live, the Asus spokesperson said that the tablet would not hit Indian stores before September.
