To add more ease to the use of Nokia smartphones while in a car, the company has introduced an app. Nokia Car Mode has been optimized to ease the in-car use of Nokia smartphones. Built with QT, Nokia Car Mode is a standalone application. Yesterday, at the IAA (Internationale Automobil Ausstellung), held in Frankfurt, Germany, Nokia unveiled this app. Nokia claims the application allows users to connect their Nokia smartphones to their car, and enjoy features that let them navigate, listen to music, make calls, get traffic updates while they're on the go. In an official blogpost, Nokia reveals that its latest application has been built on MirrorLink – standard smartphone-to-car connectivity platform powered by the CCC, or the Car Connectivity Consortium.

The QT technology, which forms the base of the application will be available for download off the Nokia Ovi Store in Q4 2011, and would essentially be available for Symbian Belle smartphones (Nokia 600, Nokia 700 and Nokia 701, as well as the Nokia N9). In the video below, it is revealed that functions like playing music, making voice calls, navigating all happen in a seemingly effortless manner.
