Nokia 9 spotted on Geekbench as photos leak out; could pack 8 GB RAM

The much-anticipated flagship phone by Nokia, Nokia 9 is expected to launch soon. Specifications for the upcoming device by HMD Global were leaked online. The leaked specifications spotted on Geekbench website hint that the flagship from the company could give popular mobile phones like Samsung Galaxy S8 and iPhone 7, a run for their money.As per the Geekbench 3 listing first spotted by Telefoon Abonnement, the Nokia 9 be run Android 7.1.1 Nougat out of the box along with a 5.5-inch QHD OLED display. It will be powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 835 SoC chipset clocked at 1.9 GHz alongside 4 GB RAM. A higher RAM variant, however, hasn’t been ruled out as of yet. The smartphone has also been tipped to have a 64 GB internal storage and it is still unclear if it will feature an expandable memory. The device was listed as HMD Global TA-1004 on the Geekbench website. While Nokia 9 had a decent score of 7770 in the multi-core performance test set by Geekbench 3, it lagged far behind the iPhone 7 Plus in single core performance.

With regard to its camera, the Nokia 9 will sport 13-megapixel cameras with Carl Zeiss optics and a dual-LED flash support, and a 12-megapixel front-facing camera. The phone is expected to support Qualcomm Quick Charge 4.0 thanks to the Snapdragon 835 SoC however, no official battery capacity has been announced.The home button of the Nokia 9 will have a fingerprint sensor embedded in it.
