New renders showcase upcoming Apple iPhone 8 alongside Samsung Galaxy S8 smartphones

Apple’s already hyped iPhone 8 is seeing leaks and rumours surface online almost every day. If the recent leaks turn out to be true then the iPhone 8 will featuring a bezel less, edge-to-edge OLED display. This has prompted many suggestions that perhaps the Touch ID fingerprint sensor will be integrated underneath the display itself, which means that a new type of sensor will read the fingerprint.Keeping the above in mind, SlashLeaks reported alleged render images comparing size of iPhone 8 against Samsung Galaxy S8, Galaxy S8+ from iDrop News. These will give Apple fans a better idea about the dimensions of the new iPhone 8.[caption id="attachment_379653" align="aligncenter" width="640"] Image: idropnews.com[/caption]The new iPhone 8 handset is expected to be 144mm tall, 71mm wide, and 7.7mm thick, according to rendering which are in turn based on the previously leaked schematics. The renders shown above give us a good idea as to how they compare to existing iPhone 7 dimensions of 138.3 x 67.1 x 7.1mm.[caption id="attachment_379654" align="aligncenter" width="640"] Image: idropnews.com[/caption]The Apple iPhone 8 compared with the Galaxy S8 and S8+, whose measurements are148.9 x 68.1 x 8.0mm and 159.5 x 73.4 x 8.1mm respectively appears to be smaller than the two. Taken together, the above dimensions suggest Apple's redesigned handset will be slightly thicker than the 4.7-inch iPhone 7 but not as thick as the Galaxy S8.The iconic iPhone home button is expected to not be visible on the front face of the device but embedded into the bottom area of the display. Other rumours point out that it will be placed at the back of the phone. Apple suppliers TSMC confirmed Apple had successfully integrated Touch ID fingerprint recognition into the OLED display. According to the sources the back will feature a vertical dual camera setup.
