New iMacs Contain Z68 Chipsets

As we already reported, Apple’s iMac received a much needed hardware refresh a few days ago, and the teardown revealed a lot of new information. Amongst other refreshes such as the Thunderbolt I/O and Sandy Bridge processors, it seems that Apple has added the Z68 chipset to the iMacs. In case you were wondering, the Z68 chipsets allow for SSD caching, which bring in increased performance as the most used files are transferred over to the SSD for instant access. Another thing worth mentioning is that the Z68 chipsets were not set for release till the end of week. Intel has granted Apple exclusive access to them days ahead of the public release and competitors' offerings.

So now, if people want to have their grubby mitts on an iMac, they can do so by paying Rs 64,900 to Rs 76,095.24 for the 21-inch model and Rs 91,900 to Rs 87,523 for the 27-inch model. Both versions include a 500GB/1TB Hard Drive along with a AMD Raedon GPU.
