There's a new Humble Bundle, and this time there are some AAA games up for grabs. The bundle this time around has games by publisher Deep Silver. It includes Saints Row The Third, Saints Row 2, Risen 2: Dark Waters and Sacred 2 Gold. As is usual for the pay-what-you-want bundle, paying above the average ($4.92 at the time of publishing) will get you a couple of extra games, namely, Dead Island: Game of the Year Edition and all the DLC for Saints Row The Third. Paying $25 (Rs 1,524 approx) or more will also get you Dead Island: Riptide.
Buying the bundle also gets you all of the soundtracks for the game, in both high-bitrate MP3 format as well as uncompressed FLAC. When buying the bundle, you can choose what part of the money goes where. The money is divided between going to the developers, the Child's Play charity, the American Red Cross charity or the Humble Bundle as a tip.
Saints Row 2 and Saints Row The Third are both open-world games with a heavier focus on ridiculousness than the Grand Theft Auto series. However, Saints Row 2 was more grounded in reality, whereas Saints Row The Third went completely off the rails with its insanity.
Risen 2: Dark Waters is an epic RPG that lets players take on the role of a pirate. The game's story has a heavy focus on the politics of the world, and gameplay itself has a focus on the combat system where players have to balance both offense and defense.
Sacred 2 Gold is a loot-driven hack-and-slash RPG. It includes the original Sacred 2: Fallen Angel as well as the add-on Sacred 2: Ice & Blood. It has seven character classes and either the Light or Shadow campaign path to determine where you stand on the "save the world or destroy it" debate.
Dead Island: Game of the Year Edition is a first-person zombie game with an emphasis on the co-op aspect. You can team up with three of your friends as you explore what was once a tropical island paradise but has now become a home for zombies. The game also has a fun crafting system that lets you make your own weapons. Dead Island: Riptide is the sequel to the game that adds many new features such as situations where you have to defend an area against zombies.
It is worth noting that the games from the bundle are only for Windows and you will need Steam to run them.
Ever heard of one of those people who just never seem to shut up about something? Shunal is like the nerd equivalent of that guy. Believe us when we say that he can go on talking about games and smartphones for hours on end. We do manage to find some insight in his insane ramblings though, and through his moronic facade, he does seem to know more than he lets on. Sadly enough, it always ends up being about gaming with him. Or stupid, stupid puns.
