New Gmail 5.0 for Android now available on Google Play Store

Starting from today, the new redesigned Gmail 5.0 will be available for download from the Google Play Store. On checking the Google India Play Store, the update was not yet added, so we are assuming it will launch shortly in a phased manner. Interestingly, the Gmail 5.0 app was available in the APK format to be downloaded yesterday.[caption id="attachment_240265" align="aligncenter" width="640"]
This is how Gmail 5.0 will look on the tablet[/caption]According to the official Gmail Blog, there will now be a convenient reply button at the bottom of every message, making it quick and easy to continue a conversation when you’re on the go. Also, if users access the app on their Android tablet, you can notice it’s easier to switch between accounts and the different inbox categories. The updated Gmail app will support all Android 4.0+ devices.The Gmail 5.0, different from Inbox, is the redesigned Gmail app which features Material Design and comes with support for adding multiple email accounts. The Gmail app will now support Exchange Active Sync and will also operate as an email client to take a hold of your messages from Yahoo, AOL, Outlook, or other POP3/IMAP accessible services.[caption id="attachment_240038" align="aligncenter" width="281"]
