Valve is planning to release a DOD: S update via Steam that'll include a new map pack featuring a new gameplay style (Detonation) and certain graphical and gameplay enhancements. Here's what you can expect in detail:New MissionsColmar - Set in Northern France, Colmar introduces Day of Defeat's Detonation style of gameplay. Marred with cold weather conditions, Colmar's Detonation objectives drive successful teams to attack target areas in unison.Jagd - Jagd challenges teams to a more advanced urban Detonation mission, one that must be completed in a limited amount of time and is therefore unforgiving to unorganized offensive attacks.Kalt - The narrow city streets, wheelhouse, and center bridge on which Kalt is fought challenge Axis and Allied forces to disperse and hold multiple points. As such, surging attacks and sudden changes in momentum may be common.Argentan - The first new mission introduced after the initial launch of Day of Defeat: Source is set alongside the rolling hills of a French trainway. Its hillsides and country structures provide the setting for punishing sniper and machine gunner standoffs.Technology UpdatesColor CorrectionFilm grainNew ShadersGameplay EnhancementsSpawn Clip adjustmentsImproved Hit location detectionWeapon balancingDetonation Gameplay IntroducedPlayer StatisticsThis map pack will be available from the 28th of July and is free as long as you have a legit copy of the game.dods.jpg

Nash, as he prefers being called, woke up to the wonders of gaming rather late but don't bring that up around him. It's a touchy subject. A self confessed Battlefield veteran, Nash spent a good part of 2010 on the Steam Battlefield - with Bad Company (see what we did there?). He has a zero tolerance policy towards RTS games but is currently showing an interest by picking up and moving people - who he refers to as units - in the office. Thank God he's not that enthusiastic about Angry Birds or we'd be seeing women flying all over the place. Bali... Bali, put the receptionist down now.
