MWC 2012: Sony unveils two more handsets from Xperia NXT series
We have seen images of these handsets in leaks over the last couple of months and as expected, Sony has raised the curtains on the Xperia P and Xperia U


The NXT family is here
The Xperia P smartphone features a full aluminium unibody design and it is the first smartphone from the brand to incorporate the Sony WhiteMagic display technology. The brightest viewing experience is enhanced with this technology and power efficiency is also taken care off as it automatically adjusts the screens brightness depending on the surroundings, this helps in conserving the life of the battery. Apart from this, the handset also has a SmartDock feature offering simple connectivity to multiple screens, turning the smartphone into an entertainment hub for the living room.

The Xperia U handset features the xLoud and Sony 3D surround sound audio technology that is integrated into the music player. Sony states, “In Xperia U the transparent element illuminates to match the colour of photos viewed in the gallery or the album art of music tracks currently playing. Xperia U can also be personalized with exchangeable caps and themes to reflect consumers’ personality and mood.”

Apart from these handsets, the Sony Xperia S from Sony’s NXT series that was announced at CES 2012 will be available for purchase. The two new handsets, the Xperia P and Xperia U will be made available from the second quarter of the year. No word is yet available on the pricing of these two handsets.
