Motorola India schedules launch event for 17 May; expect the Moto G4, G4 Plus

Motorola India has set a date for a launch event in New Delhi scheduled for May 17. While the invite that has been sent out to the media does not detail what is going to be launched, one can safely assume that this would include the much-rumoured Moto G4 (2016) and Moto G4 Plus handsets.While the news about this launch certainly goes against what we recently heard from Lenovo's CEO at the Zuk Z2 Pro launch in China, India may be the first market to get the new handsets.It was just a couple of weeks ago that the rumour mill saw a sudden burst of leaks that revealed not just a few details about the handsets, but plenty of leaked images and renders as well.[caption id="attachment_309990" align="aligncenter" width="280"] Image: nowhereelse.fr[/caption]So far leaks have revealed that the Moto G4 Plus and the G4 will feature a fingerprint sensor on the front below the display. The Moto G (2016) is expected to pack in a 5.5-inch display, 13MP camera and 16GB of internal storage. The Moto G Plus is also expected to get similar hardware specifications with 5.5-inch display, a 16MP camera and 16GB of internal storage with prices starting from 280 Euros (approximately Rs 21,000).
