Moto X+1 placeholder spotted on Moto maker site

It is no secret that Motorola is working on a new variant of the Moto X . While evleaks gave us the first sneak peek into Motorola’s plans to launch a new smartphone dubbed Moto X+ 1, looks like the company has now confirmed the name. First spotted by Mobiflip, the Moto X+ 1 placeholder was spotted on the Moto maker site. One had to simply replace MotoX’s codename FLEXR1 to FLEXR2 in the site URL. It did not reveal any specs, though. However, looks like Motorola has quickly fixed the accidental listing and one can no longer view it.[caption id="attachment_223006" align="aligncenter" width="640"] Moto X+ 1 Placeholder[/caption] Previous leak also revealed that the Moto X + 1 will be available in cool, neutral and warm shades like navy, slate, red, orange, olive, black and raspberry, to name a few. Moreover, the device is also expected to come with wooden back options such as teak, bamboo, rosewood and ebony, alongside leather options in black, red, grey and blue colours. Though Motorola hasn’t divulged any details, it did hint at a launch sometime in late summer. We also hope to see some upgrades to the display, camera and processor. The company’s first smartwatch that runs on Android Wear is also rumoured to launch some time in Summer. There’s also speculation that the upcoming Moto X could work in tandem with the Moto 360. The company is also hosting an event in India on May 13, and is highly speculated to launch the Moto E. The Moto E is expected to be a trimmed down version of the Moto G but promising good built and performance, making it within the reach of entry-level user segment. The Moto E is likely to sport a 4.2-inch 720p display, and come powered by a 1.2GHz dual-core processor with 1GB of RAM.  One can expect 4GB onboard storage, 5-megapixel camera and a 1900mAh battery.
