Modern Warfare 2 Banned in Russia

Russia bans Modern Warfare 2 thanks to controversial airport mission.

It seems all the controversy surrounding Modern Warfare 2 wasn’t limited to Activision nerfing the PC version. One of the missions where you step into the boots of a Terrorist at an airport has sent shockwaves all over the world with people over reacting (as usual) about how games are Satan’s tools of destruction.

Now it seems Russia has taken it to the next level banning Modern Warfare 2 throughout the country. Infinity Ward has offered to release a censored version of the game but it doesn’t look like Russia’s too happy about being projected as the bad guys.

Either way it’s their loss since the game’s really awesome even though the single player campaign was a tad underwhelming. Step right here for our review.
