Microsoft delivers Office 2016 public preview; now available for download

Microsoft has released a preview version for Office 2016, which is now available for download. The new public preview is available to both Office 365 subscribers (with Pro Plus as part of their subscriptions) and also, non-subscribers and both, home users and enterprise users.The first preview was delivered in March 2015 which was specially for IT Pros and developers. The preview will also offer support to Windows 7, 8 and Windows 10 PCs, laptops and tablets. Though, users must uninstall Office 2013 for the new version to work. Users can get the trial version here.Microsoft made the announcement on its blog where it said, it is working on a universal version of its key Office apps which include Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote and Outlook for Windows 10 devices, which will be available to users via the Windows 10 Store. Another version for the touch-first mobile apps for Windows 10 Mobile is expected to arrive in the next few weeks.A new feature introduced called Clutter will priortise your emails and will display important messages first. The remaining messages are stocked in a folder, with the same name, Clutter. New feature Tell Me offers commands acting as a search tool to get things done by typing it out."Since March, we've shared some glimpses of what's to come in Office 2016," Jared Spataro, the Office marketing group's general manager, said in the blogpost. "Today, we'd like to give a more holistic view of what customers at home and work can expect in the next release."
