Microsoft 365 Education and 365 F1 launched along with new Windows 10 S devices

Microsoft announced two new software service bundles at its Ignite conference in Orlando.[caption id="attachment_3999301" align="alignleft" width="380"] Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella. Reuters.[/caption]The first of the two is called ‘Microsoft 365 Education’ which packs Office 365 for Education, Windows 10, Enterprise Mobility +Security and Minecraft: Education edition. The company is aiming this bundle as a comprehensive package of Office, Windows and security products of teachers and students.The company announced the second package, ‘Microsoft 365 F1’ which is aimed at the enterprise. The company is terming it as the new ‘Enterprise plan’ that is designed to target the ‘firstline worker’, also known as the management level of organisations. The plan is designed to improve the productivity of firstline workers and reducing the cost of operation.The company has also launched a number of new Windows 10 S powered devices that will work with Microsoft 365 F1. The Windows 10 S devices include HP Stream 14 Pro, Acer Aspire 1, Acer Swift 1 and Lenovo V330. All the four devices offered are termed as ‘Ultraslim’ devices.HP Stream 14 Pro packs a 14-inch screen and it will be available for $ 275 from October 2017. Acer Aspire 1 will also pack a 14-inch screen and will be available in Q4 2017 at $ 299. The third device, Acer Swift 1 packs a 13-inch display and will be available in Q4 2017 for $349. Last but not the least, Lenovo V330 will sport a 14-inch display at $ 349. As reported by TechCrunch, Microsoft pointed out that Microsoft Teams will eventually become “the core communications client” for customers who are running Office 365. The company added that Microsoft Teams will be the “hero and primary experience for all voice, video and meetings.” The company confirmed that Microsoft Teams will replace Skype for Business.
