It is speculated that the dual in the tweet is to refer to the dual camera setup that the device will pack. This means that Micromax may be unveiling its first dual-camera phone. This comes months after the launch of Evok Note Smartphone earlier this year in April. The teaser does not shed light on other features and specifications of the phone. However, it is expected that Micromax will launch the phone in coming weeks. This launch will help Micromax compete with the hype of the 'Dual-camera' as more and more budget smartphones are expected to feature dual-cameras.

This tease comes almost a day after Lenovo launched its first dual-camera budget smartphone, the Lenovo K8. The dual camera setup in the K8 features two 13 MP and 5 MP sensors where both units simultaneously capture data when an image is taken. The operating system applies “machine learning algorithms” to the 5 MP unit to separate the background from the subject. The phone is priced at Rs 12,999 for the  3/32 GB RAM/storage combo and Rs 13,999 for the 4/64 GB combo. This comes right after Xiaomi India MD Manu Kumar Jain announced that the company will soon launch a smartphone with a dual-camera setup at the end of August. The company has not revealed which smartphone it will launch for the Indian market. According to its portfolio in China, we can expect the smartphone to be either the Mi 5X, Mi 6 or the upcoming Xiaomi Mi Note 3.
