Deep Silver has finally released the Linux version of one of this year’s best shooters, Metro: Last Light. Like any other PC version of the game, it is available through digital distribution platform Steam. It also supports Steam Play, which means that you won’t have to buy it again if you already picked it up for Mac or Windows.

Dveloper 4A Games has stated that it will be getting future support for Steam OS and the Steam Controller when they are launched. The company has also announced that the 300 Steam users chosen to get prototype Steam Machines will find a copy of the game pre-installed on the hardware.

“We are excited by the prospect of bringing the ultimate Metro experience, powered by next-gen PC hardware into the living room,” said Oles Shishkovstov, Chief Technical Officer at 4A Games. “Metro: Last Light will be a great showcase for Steam OS and the Steam Controller.”

Along with the game itself, Linux gamers can also grab the Season Pass, Faction Pack DLC and Tower Pack DLC of the game. The Season Pass costs $14.99 (Rs 957 approx), while each DLC individually costs $4.99 each (Rs 320 approx). Back in October, the last bit of DLC for Last Light, dubbed Chronicles Pack, was released. The DLC is available on all platforms through Steam, Xbox Live and PlayStation Network.
