Hideo Kojima wants to take another shot at an online Metal Gear game. The series director has said that Metal Gear Online is being developed alongside Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain, according to CVG. "Yes, we plan on creating Metal Gear Online. Multiplayer right now is being created at our LA studio as well as us. We're working closely to create a vast multiplayer for all the fans," said Kojima.

Other than PSP game Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker, the only other online game in the franchise has been Metal Gear Online, which was originally shipped alongside Metal Gear Solid 3: Subsistence. However, the servers for Metal Gear Online were shut down back in 2012. Peace Walker's multiplayer only extended as far as co-op on some missionsA look at the previous Metal Gear Online

Kojima hasn’t revealed details on what an online Metal Gear game would entail, or if it would just be an online component of Metal Gear Solid 5.

Just recently, Kojima gave us a close look at the upcoming Metal Gear Solid 5 with a rather large "Extended Director's Cut" version of the trailer that was shown off at Microsoft's pre-E3 press conference.

The difference between this trailer and the one shown during Microsoft's conference is that this one has some torture sequences at the start. Other than that, it's more or less the same trailer. This is also the first time we've heard the new voice actor for Snake—Kiefer Sutherland.

Metal Gear Solid 5 will bridge the timeline between Peace Walker and Metal Gear. The game may very well show how Big Boss creates Foxhound as well as his stronghold—Outer Heaven.

Ever heard of one of those people who just never seem to shut up about something? Shunal is like the nerd equivalent of that guy. Believe us when we say that he can go on talking about games and smartphones for hours on end. We do manage to find some insight in his insane ramblings though, and through his moronic facade, he does seem to know more than he lets on. Sadly enough, it always ends up being about gaming with him. Or stupid, stupid puns.
