McAfee has announced that its newly released WaveSecure software is now also available for iOS. McAfee, which also supports the Apple iOS for business users with its Enterprise Mobility Manager software, is now supporting individual iPhone users via a downloadable app. The primary purpose of this software is to protect against data or device loss and/or theft. With McAfee WaveSecure for iOS, iPhone users can wirelessly back up contacts, photos and videos within the app as well as remotely track the location of their iPhone via the McAfee WaveSecure online portal. Users can wirelessly restore their contacts, to both an iOS or Android device. You can WaveSecure your iPhone now

McAfee WaveSecure software iOS Edition is available for $19.99 (Rs. 906) from the Apple App Store. Apple had originally approved this app on the 12th of July, but it's only become available this week. Apple themselves have MobileMe and Find My iPhone, the latter of which is free. Both are similar device tracking applications.

Paddy does not, we repeat, definitely does NOT belong in the category of Mac-head (yeh right!). She does get excited by her iPhone and her iMac and her iPod Nano and her Macbook and Bali's iPad and her future iHouse (patent pending). Ok, so maybe her head is a little bit forbidden fruit shaped. She likes shooting video (iPhone 4 camera zindabad!) and editing montages (Final Cut Pro zindabad!), whether the scene calls for it or no. In her spare time, she's either kicking it on stage with KB the keyboard or kicking butt at Taekwondo.
