Coming preloaded on the Lenovo Thinkpad Tablet
Speaking about the Mobile Security software for the Lenovo Thinkpad tablet, John Thode, executive vice president and general manager, consumer, small business and mobile at McAfee said, “The tremendous popularity of mobile devices and their subsequent adoption in the workplace means IT organizations must worry about data-compromising malware as well as the danger of lost and stolen devices. As these devices store increasing amounts of personal and corporate data, they need to be secured to avoid potentially damaging data breaches, network intrusions or hacker attacks.”
The main features of the software are that it is a combination of their VirusScan Mobile software, WaveSecure software along with their SiteAdvisor for Android software. McAfee claims that this solution protects a mobile device if it's lost or stolen, safeguards against mobile viruses and spyware and allows users to safely surf the Web. Users can also recover lost devices with alarm and location tracking, prevent misuse with remote lock and wipe and preserve important memories and personal data with remote backup and restore options.
The brand goes on to state that the software protects against the risk of malware that originates via e-mail, instant messaging and Internet downloads. McAfee offers McAfee Mobile Security software as a 30-day trial and to know more about this security solution click here.
