Maxx launches AX356 GenxDroid7 for Rs 3696, promises KitKat update
Recently, Flipkart teamed with Karbonn to bring four budget smartphones starting at Rs 2,699, and now here's yet another entry-level phone in the Indian market dubbed AX356 GenxDroid7. Priced at Rs 3696, it is available on Infibeam and via mobile retail shops across the nation. Interestingly, this phone plans to bring the latest version of the Android OS to budget users.
The AX356 GenxDroid7 runs Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean, but is upgradable to Android Kit Kat, claims the company. It sports a 3.5-inch display with HVGA (320X480) resolution. The device is powered by dual-core Mediatek MT6572M clocked at 1 GHz and coupled with 512MB of RAM.
It gets 4GB onboard storage that is expandable further up to 8GB. This budget phone gets a slew of connectivity options such as 3G, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 4.0. It is fuelled by a 1200mAh battery. The device supports FM Radio, along with accelerometer and gravity sensors.
On the camera front, one will find a 3.2-megapixel rear snapper and a 0.3-megapixel front-facing camera. Maxx has also loaded the device with apps like Maxx World, Maxx life Box, Maxx Care, Maxx New Launch, Getit, Hungama, Office Suite, Opera Mini, OLX, Flipkart, WeChat launcher and various Google apps.
