MapmyIndia launches portable charger for gadgets

Ever find your gadgets running out of juice quickly all the time? Now MapmyIndia, the makers of navigation devices for Indian roads, have launched a portable charger for your mobile phones, MP3 players, etc. The little stick like charger houses a USB port at one end to which you can attach any USB powered device to charge it up. We don’t have the pricing yet, but we’ll update this post as soon as we get it from them.

The mobile charger comes is fitted with a 2200mAh re-chargeable Li-ion battery that takes about 5hrs to fully charge if you plug it into a PC or a notebook and just 3hrs if you plug it into a wall socket. The charger measures just 21.3mm in diameter and weighs 73g, so it’s pretty lightweight and can easily be carried around in your handbag or pocket. Now you don’t have to be stranded, if your device runs out of juice and you can’t find a wall socket.
