LinkedIn is now looking at the process for students trying to get jobs after they finish college and has developed a new profile targeted specially at them. Students can not only list their internships, but also now can list their achievements and let their employers know that they have a lot more experience than what may only be apparent. Additions to the profile include categories like test scores, projects, honours and awards and courses. Students can add these sections by going to their profile in edit mode and clicking on the "add section" bar.The categories that students can add to their LinkedIn page

Of course, students will need to keep remembering to update their information. Additionally, it would also help if employers actually looked up students who are prospective employees on their LinkedIn profile as opposed to their Facebook profile. Either way, this is one more step LinkedIn is taking to being a site of online resumes and can also hold more information about a prospective employee than their resume would be able to.
