HootSuite, the third party desktop and mobile client for social networking got a bunch of changes over the last few days. For one, LinkedIn has been integrated deeper into the app. Along with profiles, HootSuite also has LinkedIn Company Pages and Groups. Futhermore, LinkedIn announced HootSuite as a charter member on the new LinkedIn Certified Developer Program at the company’s Connect 11 conference held in New York City.LinkedIn-tegrated to HootSuite deeper

HootSuite also acquired Geoteko, a location-based marketing tool. Geotoko’s geo-analytic technology reports on location-based social media interactions like key influencers, customer sentiment, and demographic patterns to help businesses draw conclusions about audience behavior, as well as help their brand reward customers for checking-in via Foursquare and Facebook Places.

Adding to the acquisition list, HootSuite also acquired What The Trend, a web service, which shares user-defined explanations of trending topics on Twitter, and TwapperKeeper, a tool for tracking campaigns, and collecting all related Tweets in a 'scrapbook'. What The Trend provides constantly updating, crowd-sourced definitions and explanations for why the topic is trending. WTT is already in the dashboard.

She does get excited by her iPhone and her iMac and her iPod Nano and her Macbook and Bali's iPad and her future iHouse (patent pending). Ok, so maybe her head is a little bit forbidden fruit shaped. She likes shooting video (iPhone 4 camera zindabad!) and editing montages (Final Cut Pro zindabad!), whether the scene calls for it or no. In her spare time, she's either kicking it on stage with KB the keyboard or kicking butt at Taekwondo.
