LG Q6 Plus launched in India at Rs 17,990; brings a bezel-less display with some added RAM

A little over a month after the launch of the LG Q6, the Korean electronics giant has unveiled another variant of the Q6 called the Q6+. The LG Q6+ not only looks identical to its older sibling, but also comes with similar hardware specifications, save for the RAM size and is priced at a hefty Rs 17,990.[caption id="attachment_3912745" align="alignleft" width="380"]

The LG Q6+[/caption]We say hefty because the earlier Rs 14,999 price tag itself was asking for a bit too much, considering the entry-level specifications LG had squished into this mid-range smartphone. The device's highlight is its 5.5-inch FHD+ FullVision display with an aspect ratio of 18:9 and a pixel density of 442 ppi. The new model, simply gets 4 GB RAM instead of the earlier 3 GB on the standard Q6.The chipset however, remains identical to the earlier Qualcomm Snapdragon 435, which is the same hardware combination found in Xiaomi's entry-level Redmi 4 smartphone. The same goes for the rest of the hardware which includes 32 GB internal storage, a 13 MP rear camera and 5 MP front-facing camera.The handset supports the usual connectivity options which includes support for 4G bands, an FM Radio,  Bluetooth v4.2 and a USB Type-B 2.0 port.The LG Q6 was launched back in August under a new 'Q Series' branding. The smartphone was priced at Rs 14,990 was exclusive to Amazon India.
