LG launches Vu 3 with 5.2-inch screen, 13 mp camera

LG has launched a new smartphone as part of its Vu series. The smartphone called Vu 3 has a 5.2-inch screen with 1280x960 pixels resolution.

LG has launched a new smartphone as part of its Vu series. The smartphone called Vu 3 has a 5.2-inch screen with 1280x960 pixels resolution.

The phone has a 13 megapixel rear camera and a 2 megapixel front camera. It has a 2.3GHz quad-core Snapdragon 800 processor which is the same chip set as the LG Optimus G2. The phone has 2 GB of RAM and 16 GB storage space.

The company has also included Carrier Aggregation (CA) technology that doubles the speed of LTE-Advanced in the phone. The phone runs Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean OS. It supports Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, NFC, etc.

It comes with a built-in rubber rhodium pen for writing and drawing, sort of like a Stylus. Some of the other features in the Vu 3 include:

• Knock On: Opening the device by double-tapping the screen

• Guest Mode: This allows other users to access the phone without getting accessing to emails, social media, messages etc. Suitable for those handing their phones over to their kids for playing games.

The phone will be available in Korea starting 27 September.
