Lenovo K8, K8 Plus and K8 Note confirmed Android 8.0 Oreo updates by June 2018

But it would be a while before they receive the update.According to Lenovo's website, the K8 is expected to receive the update only in June 2018 which is approximately an eight-month wait for the update. The K8 Note and Plus variants, on the other hand, will receive the update a month later in July 2018. This is an unnaturally long wait considering by then there will already be a new Android flavour announced. And Lenovo will most likely have next gen handsets.According to a report by GSMArena, the news does come as a disappointment for Lenovo users who were expecting more devices to get an update. K8 users are also disappointed since the OS run by the company on the K series smartphones closely resemble stock Android.GSMArena also points out that by the time Lenovo pushes out the OTA update on the K8, K8 Plus and K8 Note, Google would be almost ready with its next version of Android.
