LeEco announces a pan-India offline retail expansion plan

Internet conglomerate LeEco today announced a plan to aggressively pursue ambitious pan-India offline retail expansion. To achieve this goal the company has announced six key partnerships.

Internet conglomerate LeEco today announced a plan to aggressively pursue ambitious pan-India offline retail expansion. To achieve this goal the company has announced six key partnerships. The company is not looking at standalone LeEco stores all across the country instead, it has partnered with retail chains like Sangeetha, Poorvika, Shivalik, AppsYouNeed, Pearl Infotech and PCH. The company estimates that through these retail chains, it will be able to reach 6000-8000 outlets.LeEco Le 1s and LeEco Le 1s Eco 'superphones' will be made available as part of the first phase of an elaborate rollout. The company has acknowledged plans to make the entire product portfolio available in the offline market in the coming months.LeEco has grown up to be the third largest smartphone brand in India with exclusive sales through Flipkart and LeMall. The offline sales started in Delhi and later spread across to Mumbai, Pune, Bengaluru, Hyderabad and Chennai.The company also planned to increase the number of mobile service centres in addition to the existing 555 service outlets. “Our strategy to strengthen our offline business is a testimony to our commitment to the Indian market. For this, we have tied up with some of the well-known names in offline retail across geographies and we will continue to add more partners as we go along,” said Atul Jain, COO of Smart Electronics, LeEco India.
