Leaks reveal Xolo to be working on Tegra 3-based T1000, 5.5-inch Q2000

Xolo's next phone may be quite a beast. Benchmarks have popped up from an anonymous submitter on Nenamark for a handset named the Xolo T1000. The maximum score for the handset on NenaMark's benchmark is 53.20. The minimum score for the handset is 52.70 and the average is 52.95.

The handset seems to be running on a Tegra 3 chip clocked at 1.5 GHz. Other than that, all we can figure out from the benchmark is that the handset will be running on Android 4.1.1 Jelly Bean. Making a phone using a Tegra 3 chip is a step forward for Xolo. Previously, the company has been using MediaTek's processors to power its phones.

AndroidNova has gotten its hands on a list of some of the features of the T1000. It will have a 4.7-inch IPS HD display, an 8 megapixel camera on the back and a 2 megapixel front-facing camera, 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal memory. Keeping all of this alive will be a 2000 mAh battery. The price of the phone is rumoured to be around Rs 16,000.

Rumours of a second Xolo phone - the Q2000 - have been revealed, according to AndroidNova. Since the Q2000 will be a phablet, Xolo will be competing with the likes of Samsung and LG. The phone is expected to be priced in the Rs 15,000 to Rs 16,000 range.

The handset is expected to run on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean and is said to be slated for release in June. It will have a 5.5-inch IPS display, 1GB of RAM, a 1.2 GHz quad-core chip which is expected to be from MediaTek, dual SIM capabilities, a 13 megapixel camera on the back and a 2 megapixel front-facing camera, a 2500 mAh battery, and 8GB of internal memory.
