Leaked Samsung Galaxy S8 press render shows off dedicated Bixby voice-assistant button

After numerous leaked images and details, we are officially less than a month away from the launch of the Samsung Galaxy S8, which takes place on 29 March. While all eyes are on Apple with its expected launch of the iPhone 8 (or iPhone X) Samsung too has a few tricks up its sleeves and new press render that has leaked out shows off that edge to edge display in all its glory.Famous leaker Evan Blass who is known to have leaked out credible details in the past, has now finally put out what appears to be a press render of the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S8.The smartphone will be Samsung's 2017 flagship (unless a folding model shows up later in the year) and will be the first to go on sale, with the top-of-the-line Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 chipset.The new render shows off just the front face of the device. Indeed, there are no buttons on the front face. The only visible ones are on the sides with power/unlock button on the right side and the volume rocker on the left. Below the volume sits a mysterious button. According to the rumour mill it will be a dedicated button to trigger Samsung's Bixby voice-assistant and will be present on both models as seen in previous leaks. Samsung's Bixby voice-assistant is expected to arrive with support for eight languages.On the front face sits that huge display that could be a 6.2-inch model on the Galaxy S8+ (5.8-inch on the standard S8). It's hard to tell from the image whether this is a S8 or an S8+ in the render. The smartphone goes with rounded corners and this year even goes with a display with rounder corners.This is something of a trend which first started with the Xiaomi Mi Mix and then the LG G6 at the MWC. Samsung's display however adds another dimension with curved edges on the right and left sides of the device.According to a leaked specifications sheet by Techno Buffalo, the Galaxy S8 will feature a 5.8-inch QHD+ Super AMOLED display, 4GB of RAM, IP68 dust and water resistance, 12MP dual-pixel camera, 8MP front camera, an iris scanner, 64GB of expandable memory, Samsung Pay, wireless charging, and bundled earphones tuned by AKG.Other features aside, we expect the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 to be the highlight of Samsung's announcement. An Exynos variant with 6GB RAM is also expected for select markets like China.
