Leaked benchmarks reveal Snapdragon 400 inside the Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini

We all know that Samsung has been working on a smaller version of its flagship handset - the Galaxy S4. Some benchmarks have come up on AllAboutSamsung.de of the smaller handset, dubbed the Galaxy S4 Mini, that show the hardware that the phone will be running on. The benchmarks show the phone model number being GT-I9195, which is the LTE variant of the S4 Mini.

Going by the benchmark, the phone will have a qHD resolution of 540 x 960 and a pixel density of 240 ppi, which conflicts with earlier rumours of the handset having a 4.3-inch display. The 240 ppi pixel density puts the screen size of the phone closer to being 4.6-inches, but that is highly unlikely considering the 'Mini' moniker that the handset has. Instead, it is more likely that the app is detecting the wrong pixel density.

Other than that, the benchmarks show that the phone is running on a Snapdragon 400 chipset from Qualcomm with an Adrena 305 GPU. This is the same chipset that has been spotted on the giant Samsung Galaxy Mega 6.3. It seems to have 1.5GB of RAM and 5GB of internal storage. Although, memory woes should be alleviated thanks to the presence of a microSD card slot. The phone seems to have two cameras - an 8 megapixel camera as the primary shooter and a 2.1 megapixel front-facing camera.

This is the hardware in the LTE version of the handset. There will be three other variants - I9150, I9192 and I9198. The I9150 variant will be the international version. It will run on Samsung's own Exynos 5 chipset. The I9192 will be a dual-SIM variant. The I9198 will be the Chinese variant of the phone.
