Lava Xolo Q700 with quad-core processor launched for Rs 9,999

The Lava Xolo Q700 device which the company touts as being the first "multi profile" Android smartphone is now officially on sale for Rs 9,999.

"Multi profile' switching allows users to create up to four profiles on the device similar to how you can add users on Windows PC, explains Techivian. The different profiles allow for different Facebook and Gmail logins, different applications and, of course different wallpaper.

The device runs on JellyBean 4.2 (Android) and has a 1.2 Ghz quad core processor. Other features include a 4.5" qHD IPS (Inter Panel Switching) Display, Sual SIM capability, 4GB memory expandable up to 32 GB and a 5MP rear camera.

The device also comes preloaded with a number of preloaded Xolo apps such as Xolo Switch, Xolo Secure and Xolo Power.

Tech site Mobiletor.com reports that the device is available through various online retailers such as Infibeam, Saholic and Flipkart.

Meanwhile in other Xolo news, tech site AndroidNova.com has reported that the company is planning another smartphone sporting a 1.6Ghz single core Intel Atom Processor.

According to the site, the device which will be called the Xolo X910 will sport a 4.3? inch qHD screen, 1GB Ram, 5 Mega Pixel rear camera and run on Android 4.1 Jellybean. It adds that this device will also cost around Rs 10,000. Mobiletor adds that the device was 'unofficially' unveiled by several online retailers last week.
