Karbonn Launches its First Android Phone - A1

With Android-powered phones in demand, Karbonn has launched its first Android phone in India. The phone is called the Karbonn A1, and is based on a 2.2-Android version. The A1 has a 2.8-inch touch screen that comes with Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, Wi-Fi  Hotspot and 3G compatibility. The phone is equipped with an audio and media player, as well. The A1 is very similar to the Micromax Andro A60. The only difference being the resistive touch screen that the A1 possesses. The A1 is equipped with Adobe Flash 10.1 version, 600MHz processor, 3.2 megapixel camera and 1100mAh battery. The A1 also has an expandable memory up to 32GB, as well as GPS functionality and is priced at Rs. 6,999.

Android Powered A1

Since the A1 is an Android-powered device, it supports Android applications like Google Map and G-Sensor. A person can also download applications from the Android Market.  A statement made by the company claims that they want to invest around five million US dollars on the marketing and advertising of these smartphones. Karbonn, is also set to release 3 more Android phones along with the A1.
