JioPhone pre-bookings to begin from 24 August; here is all you need to know

JioPhone pre-orders are officially going to start on 24 August 2017. The company also pointed out that it will conduct a limited beta test for the feature phone. However, increased demand may push back the date of delivery for the JioPhone so it is best to book the phone as early as possible.For registering online the following steps need to be taken. First, visit Jio's official website and click on 'Keep me posted'. A pop-up page will appear where basic details such as name, email ID, pin code, mobile number etc. After filling the details click on submit. the MyJio App can also be used to place the order or you can head to a Jio authorized retailer.Mukesh Ambani pointed out that the phone will be offered at an effective price of zero. However, a refundable security deposit of  Rs 1,500 has to be paid when you collect your assigned JioPhone from the retailer and it will be returned back after a period of 3 years.Reliance Jio has said that it aims to supply at least 5 million JioPhones to tap into the large feature phone market in India and provide an affordable 4G network.
