Jimmy Kimmel pranks strangers with Apple iWatch that's actually a $20 Casio
Some people will buy just anything that's Apple, and Jimmy Kimmel seems to be on a one-man mission to prove this. The American TV show host has in the past trolled with unsuspecting people when it comes to Apple's upcoming products. We have seen him try to convince people that the iPhone 4 was the iPhone 5, even though the latter had a bigger display and a sleeker frame. He then topped that stunt by pranking some people into believing that the iPad Mini is actually the iPhone 5s. But his latest 'con' takes the Apple pie. Kimmel's crew took to LA streets with a $20 Casio watch, which had an Apple logo plastered on the back. The crew then told people that it's in fact the new Apple iWatch. Actually, Kimmel's show said it's the iTime, which was the name on a recent patent filing. In any case, the results are hilarious. Have a look. Clearly, everyone loves that the iWatch displays the time AND the date, but our favourite is the guy who says, "If it's Apple, it's good, right?" It must be remembered that this is just a joke, and some of the people interviewed above might just have been playing along with the crew's suggestion of this being the iWatch. However, what the video does show is that Apple could get away with releasing a watch worth $20, with very basic features (stopwatch, anyone?) and some people might just pay a bigger price for it.
