Is your PC ready for VR? The SteamVR Performance Tool will let you know

Fast on the heels of the announcement that the Vive is up for pre-order, Valve, HTC’s partner, put up a SteamVR Performance Test tool. The program is designed to benchmark your system and evaluate your system’s VR readiness.Prepping your PC for VR isn’t as straight-forward as you think. For your PC to be VR ready, it needs to be capable of churning out a minimum of 90fps (not average fps) at 2160x1200. That’s a higher resolution and frame-rate than most PCs are capable of rendering.The SteamVR Performance Test will evaluate your PC on a number of parameters and comment on sources of bottlenecks and your PCs readiness for VR.
