Is This the Sony Ericsson Xperia Duo?

A leaked image of a smartphone apparently called the Xperia Duo might be SE's first ever dual core handset.

Yes, looking at the image not everyone will be convinced easily. However, this smartphone has been touted to be Sony Ericsson’s entry in the dual-core smartphone segment and will be called the Xperia Duo.That's the Yeti, no wait, the Lochness Monster.. umm, but does it exist?

In all possibilities, the smartphone shown in this picture can be a clear fake, a Photoshop-ped image or something, but we cannot rule out the fact that the company has to make further endeavours in the smartphone segment if they want to keep up with the times. LG has a dual-core smartphone and so do Samsung and HTC, so maybe it’s high time that we saw a handset from SE’s stable boasting of some ground-breaking specifications.

From what we can make of this picture, the handset looks more like a stretched out version of the Xperia Arc and if it has a large display (maybe a 4.3 or 4.5-incher) with BRAVIA engine, then this will be a device to look out for. Stay tuned for now as we try and debunk the whole fake/real image story. You can let us know what you think about this image in our comments section below.
