Intex launches Aqua Desire budget smartphone in India for Rs 5,560

Handset maker Intex has launched a new Android phone called Aqua Desire, at Rs 5,560. The device is said to be available blue, grey and white variants but no information has been provided as to when it will be available.

Handset maker Intex has launched a new Android phone called Aqua Desire, at Rs 5,560. The device is said to be available in  blue, grey and white variants but no information has been provided as to when it will be available.The device sports a 4.7-inch FWVGA IPS display with a resolution of 480 x 854 pixels. It is powered by a 1.2GHz dual-core processor and 512MB RAM.In terms of memory, the smartphone has 4GB internal storage and can be further expanded up to 32GB via microSD card. The Intex Aqua Desire features pre-installed apps such as Ask Me, Clean Master, Intex Fun, Intex Market, Intex Play, Intex Zone, Opera mini, and OLX.The dual SIM smartphone runs Android 4.4.2 KitKat out-of-the-box. The Intex Aqua Desire sports an 8MP rear camera with dual-LED flash and a 2MP front-facing camera. In terms of connectivity, phone offers 3G, GPRS/ EDGE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Micro-USB, and Bluetooth options. The device is powered by a 1700mAh battery.Earlier, Intex had launched three budget smartphones in the ‘Star’ range starting at Rs 6,990. The three devices – Star, Star HD and Star Power which were available from last September were priced at Rs 6,990, Rs 7,490 and Rs 8,690 respectively.
