After recently launching its Aqua I-5 smartphone, Intex has announced that it plans to sell as many as 2 million units of its Aqua smartphones in FY 2013-14. The company announced that it managed to sell 7 lakh handsets last month, of which its Aqua range of smartphones contributed to over one lakh units.

In its statement, the company added that it has already launched 12 mid-segment smartphones under its Aqua range and has plans to launch 20 more during the next quarter.
The Intex Aqua I-5 smartphone, which is the latest in the company's Aqua line of smartphones, has been launched for Rs 11,690. The Aqua I-5 is likely to compete with the Micromax Doodle A111, A110Q Canvas 2 and Xolo Q1000, to name a few. However, the highlight of the Aqua I-5 is its 12MP camera, giving it an edge over the others. Check out the list of all budget quad-core phones here.
