For some time now the Internet has been rife with rumors and speculation that Intel was pondering developing a Business Brand. Today all the rumors were laid to rest by a statement from CEO Paul Otellini. Discussing plans the company would have for the quarter, Otellini let slip their plans when he mentioned Intel's brands: "Centrino and Viiv and the upcoming brand associated with the business desktop..."Doing his part Intel representative Scott McLaughlin said that his company planned an "enterprise announcement" in San Francisco on Monday, which will include a number of industry partners including security vendor Symantec.According to informed analysts, Intel will look to wrap a number of important enterprise features into the new brand, much in the way that it associated wireless laptop computing with its Centrino brand.
