Instagram starts rolling out new algorithmic feed; will show you the 'best' posts

Instagram has begun rolling out changes to its news feed for all users. Instagram had announced these changes back in March. So, the feed used to show the posts in reverse chronological order wherein the latest posts would appear on the top of the feed. In a blogpost, Instagram announced that they are going to be rolling out the new way to all users, over the course of a month.This new approach was being beta tested with a select section of users, and now is in the process of being made available to everybody. Instagram's usage data shows that people miss more than 70 percent of the content in their feeds. Instagram is going to analyse patterns of likes, comments and mentions to decide which content gets served up first. The exact details of this process is not mentioned. Instagram however, is also considering timing of the post, and "whether you will find the post interesting" to order the content on the feed. Instagram claims it is going to get better at doing this over time. Users will lose control over when their content shows up on the feeds of their followers.  The order of the photos on your timeline, on the profile page, will not be changed.
