IFA 2016: Archos 133 Oxygen unveiled with 10,000 mAh battery

Archos unveiled its Archos 133 Oxygen Tablet which is meant to be used as a multimedia hub or mounted and displayed as a family organiser. The tablet is a massive 13.3-inch Full HD IPS display, delivering content at 1920 x 1280 resolution. The device is powered by an octo core Rockchip RK3368 processor clocked at 1.5 Ghz and a PowerVR SGX6110 GPU. There is 2GB of DDR3 RAM on board, along with 64GB of internal storage, which can be extended up to 128GB using a micro SD card slot. There is a polished metal finish on the aluminum casing.The device ships with the Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS. There is a long life 10,000 mAh battery on board, which allows for up to five hours of continuous video playback, and a stand by time of 168 hours. There are two built in speakers, a micro HDMI port and a 3.5mm jack included for multimedia capabilities. The Archos Video player is pre-loaded, which offers some additional features for consumption of video content. This includes support for various file formats, subtitle downloader, video resumer, video accelerator, and ability to stream content on other devices in the local network.archos-133-oxygen2The Archos 133 Oxygen tablet was exhibited at the Archos booth at IFA 2016, in Berlin. It will be available worldwide from November 2016. The device will be available online, through the Archos web site, or through its distributor network. In the box is the tablet, adapters for EU and UK, a USB data cable and documentation. The device will be available for £179.99 (roughly Rs 15,949).
