IFA 2015: Lenovo announces Ideapad Miix 700; bears a striking resemblance to Microsoft Surface Pro 3
Lenovo has launched a 12-inch convertible called the Ideapad Miix 700 which has a 12-inch tablet along with a kick-stand on the rear side and a fold out keyboard in the front. It will start selling in November from $699 or approx Rs 46,500.

It will start selling in November from $699 or approx Rs 46,500.That the Lenovo Ideapad Miix 700 is inspired by the Microsoft Surface Pro 3 is an understatement. The kickstand is located in a similar position as we had seen with the Surface Pro 3. But Lenovo uses the watchband hinge that was last seen on the Lenovo Yoga 3 Pro, which lets you align the display portion across various angles.
The keyboard apart from being attached to the base of the display can also magnetically snap on to the screen. The Lenovo Miix 700 also bundles in a Stylus along with a dedicated stand to hold it in.On the specifications front, the Ideapad Miix 700 houses an Intel Skylake Core m7 processor with up to 8GB of RAM on board. It has a 12-inch 2560 x 1440 pixel display and you can have up to 256GB of SSD storage. Windows 10 OS comes pre-bundled.The Lenovo Ideapad Miix 700 weighs around 770 grams and it will come with 5MP front and rear camera. You can also add on an Intel RealSense 3D camera which supports Windows Hello feature, which lets you log in via facial recognition.
