Idea Cellular launched free Facebook Messenger service for its prepaid subscribers. Idea has partnered with Facebook for this plan which will let users send messages, share pictures, etc with their Facebook friends who are also using the messenger app.

Idea subscribers can dial *800*88# to activate the scheme which is valid for 3 months, and users have to activate before 31st July 2013. The service is available for prepaid on both 3G and 2G Internet connections.

Users can download the Facebook Messenger application from Play store in Android and App store in iOS.
