Huawei to reportedly launch P11/P20 smartphone on 27 March; expect three variants of the model

Chinese smartphone maker Huawei has kept us in dark for some time about the next P-series launch. Reports have stated that the next phone after the Huawei P10 is going to be the P20 and not the P11. But one thing certain is that the phone will not debut at MWC this year.[caption id="attachment_3973703" align="alignleft" width="380"]

Image Credit: Huawei[/caption]According to a report by GSMArena, the Huawei P11 or P20 — as we are still not clear on the name — will be unveiled on 27 March.Rumours have suggested that we might see a P11/P20, a P11/P20 Plus, and a P11/P20 Lite. There could also be P11/P20 Pro on the cards which, according to the report, may sport an iPhone X-like notch on the top.Evan Blass had earlier leaked a few ads for the upcoming P-series smartphones from Huawei which claimed that the phones would have a triple-camera setup with 40 MP resolution and 5X optical zoom. The camera system would be developed by Leica, which was already a partner on the Huawei Mate 10 camera as well.We can expect some high-end hardware, like the HiSilicon Kirin 970 SoC, in these smartphones along with 18:9 aspect ratio screens.There's no clue as to where the phone will be unveiled or at what price point, but we shall have more information in the upcoming days.
