Huawei Honor 5C smartphone launched at Rs 10,999; Honor T1 tablet at Rs 6,999
After announcing the smartphone in China and Europe, Huawei has finally launched the smartphone in India

Honor, Chinese smartphone maker Huawei’s sub-brand, announced a new smartphone for the Indian market today called the Honor 5C. The new smartphone is a successor to last year’s Honor 4C, targeting the budget segment with a price tag of Rs 10,999. It features a metal unibody design and is said to compete with the likes of Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 and the LeEco Le 2.The 5C will be available via flash sale on June 30 at 2PM. The company has also announced the Honor T1, a 7-inch tablet priced at Rs 6999, and will be available on open sale starting today. Both are Flipkart exclusive. The Honor T1 features a 7-inch IPS display and metal body. The specs sheet also includes 1GB RAM, 8GB onboard storage, 2MP front and rear cameras and a 4100mAh battery.https://twitter.com/tech2eets/status/745515570255147008The Honor 5c sports a 5.2-inch full HD (1080p) IPS LCD display. It is powered by Huawei’s own Kirin 650 SoC with eight Cortex-A53 cores out of which four are clocked at 2GHz and the rest at 1.7GHz. While there were questions raised whether Huawei will bring the non-fingerprint scanner version of the smartphone in India, but that is not the case as there is a fingerprint scanner at the back.The smartphone comes with a 13MP camera at the back with an f/2.0 aperture and a front 8MP camera with a similar aperture size as the rear unit. The battery is rated at 3,000mAH and connectivity options include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, A-GPS, 4G LTE and a microUSB port. It runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow with the company’s Emotion UI skin on top.
