Huawei has launched the Ascend Mate phablet phone in India for Rs 24,900. The smartphone which has 6.1-inch screen was first showcased at the Consumer Electronic Show (CES) 2013.

Huawei has launched the Ascend Mate phablet phone in India for Rs 24,900. The smartphone which has 6.1-inch screen was first showcased at the Consumer Electronic Show (CES) 2013.
Key features of the smartphone include:
• It has a Huawei Hi-Silicon quad-core 1.5GHz processor.
• The smartphone has 2GB RAM but the company has not specified the total memory storage space on the phone.

• It is powered by a 4,050 mAh battery and Huawei claims that it the technology it uses saves 30 percent more power.
• The smartphone runs Android 4.1 aka Jelly Bean.
• 8-megapixel autofocus rear camera and a 1-megapixel front camera.
• The phone's dimensions are 6.5 inches x 3.4 inches x 0.4 inches and it weighs 198g.
Of course the screen size is 6.1-inches, with IPS panel and 1280x720 pixels resolution. The Ascend Mate will compete with Samsung Galaxy Mega smartphones, which are priced atRs25,100 for the 5.8-inch screen version, while the 6.3-inch screen version will cost Rs 31,490.
