HTC has launched its 5-inch screen smartphone Butterfly in India for Rs 45,990. The smartphone runs Android 4.1 aka Jelly Bean.

HTC has launched its 5-inch screen smartphone Butterfly in India for Rs 45,990. The smartphone runs Android 4.1 aka Jelly Bean but also has HTC's Sense 4+ software overlay.
Key features of the smartphone:
• 5-inch Super LCD screen with 1920x1080 pixel screen resolution and a Corning Gorilla Glass 2. The screen display is 441 pixels per inch.
• It has 1.5GHz Qualcomm S4 Pro quad-core processor.
• The device has 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage, which is expandable by up to 32GB via microSD card.
• The smartphone has an 8 megapixel rear camera and a 2 megapixel front camera.

• The Butterfly has a non-removable 2,020mAh battery.
• The device also supports LTE, 3G, High Speed Packet Access (HSPA)+ for connectivity.
• It also has Bluetooth 4.0 and NFC.

The smartphone is likely to compete with other 5-inch phones like Samsung Galaxy Note II, LG's Optimus VU to name a few.
