HTC 10 promotional video leaks ahead of announcement

The world is now used to the HTC's odd tradition of its smartphones being leaked out completely via rumours and tipsters and this year, is no different. Keeping up with tradition, someone managed to get their hands on the official promotional video of the upcoming flagship smartphone called the HTC 10.The video as reported by mobiflip.de shows off how the entire smartphone is chiseled off in a single block of aluminium. Towards the end, we get our first glimpse of the HTC's new Sense 8 UI as well with what appears to be a refreshed icon set.The flagship smartphone expected to launch in a day's time, is pretty much the same as reported by previous leaks. The video shows off a front face that has similarities with last year's iPhone 6 look-a-like (A9) but things change once the phone is turned on its back. The back shows off a sharp bevelled look, that is unique and a complete contrast from the rounded front. Lastly, there are also the colour options that include, gold, silver and black.Not much has been revealed about the internals. But we did catch the laser assisted autofocus system sitting right next to the LED flash. Also noticeable was the reversible USB Type C port at the bottom, flanked by a speaker on the right and a mic on the left. Indeed, this means that the dual speaker system (BoomSound) works with one speaker squeezed into the earpiece while the second one is placed at the bottom.As for the leaked specifications, the HTC 10 is expected to sport a 5.2-inch QHD display, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 chipset and 4GB of RAM. The rear camera is expected to be a 12MP UltraPixel unit with optical image stabilisation (OIS) and laser autofocus. HTC is also expected to have worked on the selfie camera giving it not just a 5MP sensor but OIS as well. Powering it all will be a 3000mAh battery.
