Along with the new iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus, Apple unveiled its new generation smartwatch today, the Apple Watch Series 2. The overall design looks very similar to its predecessor including a square watchface, a digital crown, a navigation button and swappable bands. However there are a few upgrades in design including a new water-resistant body which makes the watch swimproof and one can go as much as 50 meters. There is also the addition of a GPS chip which lets the watch utilise maps without the need of a phone. Of course you need to be paired with the iPhone to receive notifications or to send messages. On the inside there is a new upgraded processor called the S2. It is a dual-core processor which is said to be 50 percent faster than its predecessor and double the graphics performance capable of rendering 60fps on the tiny display. Speaking of which, the display is now 50 percent brighter and Apple claims that it offers 1000-nits of brightness.apple-watch-series-2-waterOf course it will rock the new watchOS3 which was announced earlier this year.
